Rockstar has locked Grand Theft Auto VI to Thursday 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S. Pre-orders opened on 25 June, a week after the studio revealed the game's cover art and refreshed its own logo across its social channels.
There are two editions. The Standard Edition is $79.99. The Ultimate Edition is $99.99 and bundles content that unlocks as the story progresses rather than all at once.
The Ultimate Edition's headline items are three vehicles, the '95 Grotti Cheetah, the Shitzu Squalo and the '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, plus the paired Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers finished in Vice City style with palm-tree grips and engraving. It also opens shops the Standard Edition does not: Rideout Customs in Vice City and One-Eyed Willie's at Lake Leonida for off-road builds, along with Sara's Unisex Salon, the Stock 305 clothing store and a tattoo parlour.
Every pre-order, and every copy bought before 20 November 2026, includes the Vintage Vice City Pack. Rockstar has also confirmed it will sell an Ultimate Edition Upgrade separately at a later date, so starting on Standard does not lock you out of the extra content permanently.
One detail worth knowing before you plan a launch-day trip to a shop: physical copies arrive on 12 November, a week ahead of the digital launch, but the boxes contain a download code only. There is no disc.
November 19 is the third date this game has carried. It was announced for 2025, moved to 26 May 2026 in May 2025, then moved again in November 2025, with Rockstar saying the extra months would let it finish the game with the level of polish players expect and deserve. Take-Two chief executive Strauss Zelnick has since said publicly that no further delay is expected.
Every figure above traces back to Rockstar's own announcements, so this entry is tagged confirmed. If any of it changes, flag it and we will update the page.
